The Pearson Edexcel Academic Certificate Programmes mainly offer GCE A Level/IAL, GCSE/IGCSE courses in the international region. The standards and content of the high school curriculum are regulated by the Office of the Superintendent of Qualifications and Examinations (Ofqual) and are compulsory tests for British students to enter universities. It is equivalent to China's college entrance examination and is recognized by the international education community as the "world college entrance examination" and "the gold standard for global university admission".
